Well I am back from Connecticut after spending a few weeks cleaning out my Dad's home and taking care of estate matters. When I left I was suffering with a bout of diverticulitus, so I was taking 2 medications that were knocking me for a loop. While there I started to feel better, but of course a couple of days before we left to come home it started acting up again. So I was back on the meds for another 10 days. Then when I finally started feeling better I finally got onto the computer and internet and wouldn't you know I got a virus which wiped out everything. So I am slowing getting my stuff back onto a new laptop. Ugh! Anyhow, here is a piece of Autumn wordart that I thought you might enjoy! My page was created using a photo of my niece and great nephew. Angel PAWS is a great organization, and the way we came to know about it, was through a very sweet, loyal customer, Carol. Carol, unknowingly, sparked a huge interest in Angel PAWS in one of the emails that were exchanged, and once the idea of a charity kit was brought to her, she jumped right in and did all she could to help us make it happen!

Information on Angel PAWS:

"Angel PAWS is a 401(c)(3), non-profit, all volunteer, organization dedicated to relieving the suffering of, and finding permanent homes, for stray, abandoned, and homeless animals. We were founded in July of 1999, by two dedicated rescuers who, combined, have over 40 years of rescue experience, but on their own and in other rescue organizations. On Vacation

Hi all, we have been on vacation over the past week and I'm sorry to say that it is coming to an end way to soon. LOL! We are visiting our daughter and son-in-law in Florida and have been having such a wonderful time. They recently put in an inground pool and we have been having so much fun swimming and relaxing. Wish it would never end. LOL!

My friend Lisa (LCD digitals) is an amazing scrapper, and lately she has been spending much of her time doing something called smudge painting or virtual oil painting. Her results are absolutely amazing and beautiful!!! She was kind enough to take a photo of Belle and apply this tedious process to her and I LOVE IT! I am going to surprise my husband for either his birthday or Christmas by having this beautiful creation enlarged and put onto canvas. Thank you so much Lisa!!!

I have 3 chihuahua's and my daughter has 3, do you know how hard it is to get a photo with all 6 of them together? Well it is next to impossible, so I decided to put them together on a scrapbook page. Do you remember the Lay's potato chip commercial? Bet you can't eat just one? I created this page for a challenge over on SBF "Close Ups". Of course almost all of the pages are of all these adorable little children and grandchildren belonging to the members and since I don't have any of those I decided to do my dog Belle. She is 13 years old and is just like my kid. LOL! The wordart I created is from the song "My Girl" by the Temptations. Ok, so you all are probably going to think I'm nuts but I sing that song to her all the time, replacing "My Girl" to "My Belle". LOL! Hi all, sorry I haven't been around much. We were busy helping Sarah & Chris move to Florida. Then I think I was just in a funk cuz I was missing them and my grandfurbabies. LOL! Now they are back for a few days to visit and will be leaving again on Monday. My son-in-law is a pilot based out of Memphis, and he had a couple of 2 day trips with some time in between so they all came up here which made it easier for him to get to work and back. The photo is of my son-in-law Christopher at Chef Mickey's in Disney World on their wedding day. We all had so much fun celebrating, after the ceremony, with all the characters at the restaurant.

Yup, we are back from our vacation and it was too short as always. We went to Disney for a couple of days and were actually able to hit all the rides that we wanted to in a reasonable amount of time. The only one we didn't get to do, that we wanted to, was the newest ride Toy Story which had a wait time of 120 minutes. Isn't that crazy? It makes me absolutely mad to spend all that money to get into the parks only to spend most of the day in line waiting. Grrrrrrrr! Then we headed down to Daytona Beach for a couple of days to just chill which was nice. While there, we looked at some houses in a couple of different developments cuz my daughter and son in law are thinking about moving back down there. Then on Friday night my husband started having really bad pain and ended up having a kidney stone. There is nothing that can be done for Kidney Stones other than pain meds and just wait for it to come out. We told him that riding all of those roller coasters must have knocked one loose. LOL! (He has had them many times before). So we cut the vacation short and headed home on Sunday (12 hour drive) so that he could go to the doctor on Monday. He ended up passing it on his own Monday afternoon. Yay! So it's back to work for me tomorrow. Ugh!

I couldn't wait to scrap a page with this gorgeous kit by Designs by Denise entitled A Touch of Elegance. There are so many wonderful elements and beautiful papers to choose from. You can purchase this kit exclusively at My Scrappin Box.

The first page I created is done with photos from my Daughter's Intimate Wedding in Walt Disney World, Florida. The Wedding pavilion is so beautiful and from the alter you could see Cinderella's castle. Back in 2003 you could have what they called an intimate wedding, which allowed you to invite up to 15 guest to the ceremony and then they served cake and champagne on the Commanders Terrace at the Grand Floridian . Also included in the price was a 4 night honeymoon at a moderate resort. Intimate Wedding ~ $4800.00, the memories......... Priceless.

I wanted to show the verstility of this wonderful kit, so my second creation is more "manly" for lack of a better word. The photo was found in Google Images and it is from the mini-series North and South. Loved, loved this mini-series, that was based on the 1980's trilogy of novels by John Jakes. The 3 mini-series were titled North and South Book 1, Book 2 and Book 3, and were made in the late 1980's, early 90's. It was was the story of 2 friends that met at West Point and their families. It took them through many years of their lives including all the trial and tribulations of 2 dear friends with very different upbringings and beliefs - before, during and after the Civil War, one from the South, Orry Main (Patrick Swayze) and one from the North, George Hazzard (James Read) from the North.
